Pre-Flight Mechanic

Permanent full-time position or contract opportunity.
TAS is looking for skilled and detail-oriented Pre-Flight Mechanics to support aircraft preparation, inspection, and maintenance activities prior to flight.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring aircraft are ready for operation and meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. You will work on various mechanical systems, perform functional checks, identify potential issues, and collaborate closely with technical, quality, and production teams.
Tasks
The Pre-Flight Mechanic will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and maintenance documentation.
- Installing, adjusting, replacing, and repairing mechanical components on aircraft.
- Performing functional tests and making the required adjustments on aircraft systems.
- Inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, air conditioning, doors, landing gear, and flight control systems.
- Preparing aircraft for flight, including daily inspections, pre-flight checks, and refueling-related activities.
- Participating in engine runs and APU testing according to established procedures.
- Performing modifications and technical work in accordance with service bulletins, client requirements, and industry standards.
- Identifying, reporting, and documenting any defects, irregularities, or non-conformities.
- Working closely with production, inspection, quality, and supervision teams.
- Following health and safety procedures, aerospace standards, and approved work methods.
- Performing any other related duties as required.
Required qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A DEC or AEC in Aircraft Maintenance, an M2 licence (nice to have) or equivalent training.
- A minimum three years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry, as a mechanic or in a related field.
- The ability to read and understand technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and a safety-first mindset.
- Autonomy, reliability, teamwork skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Proficiency in French or English, both spoken and written.
