Avionics Technician

We are currently seeking an Avionics Technician to join a dynamic team working on large-scale projects with leading aerospace organizations in the Greater Montreal area.

Tasks
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, maintenance manuals (AMM, IPC), and approved procedures
- Install, configure, modify, and test avionics systems on aircraft
- Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting on electrical and avionics systems
- Perform inspections, adjustments, repairs, and functional tests
- Ensure all work complies with Transport Canada (TCCA) regulations, manufacturer standards, and internal procedures
- Accurately complete technical documentation and maintenance records
- Collaborate closely with supervisors, engineers, and maintenance teams
- Identify and report any discrepancies, non-conformities, or safety concerns
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with 5S principles
- Actively contribute to a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement
Required qualifications
- College diploma (DEC) in Avionics or equivalent training
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an aerospace environment (MRO, manufacturing, or operator)
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of avionics systems (communications, navigation, instrumentation, etc.)
- High level of responsibility, attention to detail, and rigor
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Functional proficiency in French or English (bilingual environment)
Assets
- Experience on commercial or business aircraft
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (TCCA)
- AME License – Category E (strong asset)
